Samantha is a fiduciary and holds eight professional licenses and designations, including CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®), Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA®), Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS®), Series 7, 63, and 66, and a California Insurance License with Long Term Care Partnership certification.
Samantha’s journey to becoming a financial advisor didn’t begin in a boardroom it began on a boat. At just three years old, Samantha and her family fled war-torn Vietnam in search of freedom and a better life. Adrift for nearly a week in the South China Sea, their boat was hijacked by pirates. Her quick thinking mother hid a $100 U.S. bill and, as family lore goes, Samantha wet her pants, perhaps distracting the pirates long enough to keep their seed money safe. When they reached a refugee camp in the Philippines, her mother dried that $100 US bill, used it to buy bread and meat, and started a humble bánh mì sandwich stand.
A year later, the family resettled in Oakland, California. In 1984, they opened one of the first Vietnamese restaurants in the area. From that tiny sandwich stand to their family run business that lasted over 30 + years, Samantha witnessed firsthand the courage, resilience, and entrepreneurial spirit it takes to build something from nothing.
Inspired by her mother’s grit and her own experience as a first-generation immigrant, Samantha developed a deep appreciation for risk-taking, financial independence, and smart decision making. That foundation gave her the courage to launch her own advisory firm and it’s what enables her to support business owners and families with empathy, clarity, and strategy.
Today, Samantha is a proud wife and mother of two children. When she’s not helping clients plan their futures, she loves traveling, playing pickleball, gardening, and making music a part of everyday family life. Her story is one of hope, hustle, and heart and she brings that same energy to every financial plan she creates.
